Kaki Lima Boston is a husband and wife team on a mission to introduce Indonesian cuisine to a wider audience. And on Oct. 14, they are taking their traveling pop up restaurant to KO Pies in the East Boston Shipyard.
Chef Retno of Kaki Lima Boston uses only the freshest and most authentic Indonesian ingredients and techniques. This is Indonesian food as Indonesians expect it to be. You can read more about Retno here. And you can read what people are saying about her here.
Tuesday's dinner will be a 3-course plated meal. The first course will be served promptly at 7:30 p.m. Please be early! Beer, wine and other drinks will be sold separately by KO Pies. Limited seating is available so get your tickets soon! Also, due to the nature of this event, we will not be able to accommodate allergies and other dietary restrictions (sorry!). Be aware that shrimp paste and tree nuts are used in a lot of Indonesian cooking.
Any questions please email the Kaki Lima Boston team (Pete and Retno) at firstname.lastname@example.org.
*NOTE: We are going back to Indonesia for the winter to research recipes, write a cookbook, and seek out funding for a future restaurant. This will be our last pop up dinner in Boston until March!*
Hope to see you there!
